Moon sighting committee meets today

A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held today at 6.45 pm in the conference room of Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mokarram to review reports on moon sighting for the holy month of Jilhaj, 1437 Hijri to fix the date of holy Eid-ul-Azha, reports BSS. Religious Affairs Minister and chairmen of the committee Principal Matiur Rahman will preside over the meeting, an Islamic Foundation press release said. The committee has requested all to inform it if the moon of Jilhaj is sighted in any part of the country through the following telephone and fax numbers or by any other means. The numbers are: 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407 and 9558337;
