Banglavision edged past The Independent 1-0 in a quarterfinal match of the Walton-DRU Media Cup Football Tournament in a quarterfinal match at the Handball Stadium in the capital yesterday. Moniruzzaman Ujjal of Banglavision snatched the player of the match award
Banglavision will now take on ATN Bangla in the semifinal today. ATN Bangla eliminated ATN News by 2-1 in penalty shootout in another quarterfinal.  Quamruzzaman of ATN Bangla clinched the player of the match trophy.
 Sangbad Pratidin also posted an identical win over Banglanews24 with MAK Zillani of the winning team bagged the player of the match trophy. Daily Star too defeated Kalerkantha 2-1 in tie-breaker in the last quarterfinal. Star’s guest player Mujibur Rahman received the best player award.
