All-rounder Nasir Hossain was in the squad which played last Test for Bangladesh but wasn’t regular in the limited over games or Twenty20 cricket since last one year. He however doesn’t know how the team management will solve the matter but he is eagerly eying to keep hold of cementing his place in all the formats by doing extra practice on his weakness.
“There are many more things to learn. I believe that everybody has ups and downs in life. I have accepted it. I am passing through bad time. Hopefully better times will be come ahead,” said Nasir Hossain, who played so far 17 Tests, 56 ODIs and 31 T20Is for Bangladesh.
“Our coach gives a schedule for all of us who will be batting and how long one will bat. Thereafter, I have been batting for half-an-hour or hour-long just after the end of the main practice regularly,” Hossain told reporters after their fitness session yesterday.
“The matter is not in my hands why I am not in the team. It is real thing is that what the team management is thought. They may be thought the new players will be right and better option in place of me they have done that,” he added.
The 25-year-old tail-ender said that he is attempting to break into the team as a regular fighter by his own performance.
“I’m trying to enter into the team by showing my performance whether it is practice match or Dhaka Premier League (DPL),” he said.
Nasir, dubbed as ‘Mr Finisher’, became the hero of Bangladesh team bringing victories on many occasions for his superb finishing capability. He said that he misses the tag now and then.
“I always miss the tag,” he said raising a question, “If you don’t play, then how you will finish the game?”
When asked about his current condition, he said that he is remained the same and trying to return in the national fold as regular fighter.
