Three to die for killing schoolboys

Three people were sentenced to death in Bogra and Natore yesterday for killing schoolboys.
Our Bogra correspondent says: A court here yesterday sentenced a man to death for abducting and killing a schoolboy in Bogra in 2014.
Additional District and Sessions Judge M Hafizur Rahman pronounced the judgment.
The convict is identified as Al-Amin Sohagh, 21, son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Bagbari village under Gabtoli upazila of the district.
According to the prosecution, Al-Amin Sohagh abducted Shahriar Nafiz Siam, 8, a student of class two, from Old Bogra town area and demanded Tk 3 lakh from Siam’s parents as ransom. Later, Sohagh hacked Siam to death on May 17, 2014.
After the incident, victim’s father Billal Rahman filed a case with Sadar Police Station against Sohagh on May 19 of the same year.
Police after investigation submitted chargesheet with the court on January 16, 2016. Later, the judge examining witnesses and relevant evidences announced the judgment.
In Natore: A court here sentenced a man and his wife to death for killing their son, Emon, in Baraigram upazila last year, reports BSS.
District and Sessions Judge Rejaul Karim pronounced the verdict.
According to court officials, the convicts are Emdadul Haque, and Emon’s step mother Nahida Begum, residents of Kamardah village under Baraigram upazila of the district.
The prosecution story, in brief, is that the convicts strangulated their son Yasin Arafat Emon, 9, a student of class three on August 27, 2015.
After the incident, victim’s mother Kulsuma Begum filed a murder case with Baraigram police station against Emon’s father and step mother Nahida Begum.
Police after investigation submitted chargesheet with the court.
Later, the judge examining the witnesses and relevant evidences announced the judgment.
