Colonel Namza Begum, the first female Military Commander in the history of the United Nations, received special honour from the United Nation on August 16. She is currently serving at the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (ONUCI),
The UN also selected Nazma as ‘military gender advocate of the year’ for the year of 2016, according to a press release, issued by the ISPR yesterday.
