FARIDPUR: Four suspected militants alleged to be active members of Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) who were arrested on Friday night from Bhanga, Sadarpur and Charbhadrasan upazailas were granted police remand on Sunday for a total of 19 days in separate four cases, reports BSS. The court no. 3 of Judge Mainul Islam in Faridpur granted the police prayer when they arrestees were produced in the court.
Additional Police Super of Faridpur Kamruzzaman Russel who coordinated the drives said the arrestees included chief of ABT, Faridpur region Farid Mridha and his three accomplices Nahid Molla, Shahidul Islam and Mohsin Molla. Police filed four cases in arms and explosives act against them. Three 9 mm pistols, 10 rounds of cartridges, 22 hand bombs, one laptop and many books related to militancy and fanaticism were recovered from them.
