Nat’l soccer team leave for Male today

A 23-member national football team final squad for the upcoming AFC Cup Qualifying play offs and a FIFA Friendly match was announced yesterday.
The Bangladesh national football team will leave Dhaka today at 12:05pm for Maldives to play a FIFA friendly match against Maldives on September 1. The FIFA friendly, which will also be a preparation match before taking Bhutan challenge to cross the hurdle to move into the qualifying phase. Bangladesh will play their away match on September 6 and home match against Bhutan on September 10.
Ten booters from the 33-member of the preliminary squad could not make their room in the final 23-man squad. Bangladesh will have to make the tour without two key players. Playmaker and the captain Mamunul Islam is suffering from pain in right side thigh  and Jamal Bhuiyan ruled out for card problem when he saw two yellows against the matches of Tajikistan.
Four new faces have been inducted in the 23-man list when midfielder Jafar Iqbal and Abdullah of Arambagh Club, Sentu Chandra Sen of Uttar Baridhara and Didarul Alam of Rahmatganj are expecting to make their debut while Hementa Vinsent Biswas returned to national team after recovering the injury.
