SYLHET: Byabosayee Oikyo Kalyan Parishad called a eight-hour hartal in the city for Wednesday demanding arrest of the killers of businessman Mamun, reports UNB.
Sheikh Makan Miah, president of the organisation, announced that they would enforce the strike from 6am to 2pm tomorrow.
The decision came from an emergency meeting of the organisation held on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, Byabosayee Swartho Songrokkhon Parishad will hold a procession in protest against the killing from Court Point in the city at about 5pm on Wednesday. Earlier on August 16, Karim Box Mamun, a mobile phone handsets trader, was stabbed to death by a group of terrorists in Jindabazar area of the city.
