Rangpur regional commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Brigadier General Shahriar Ahmed Chowdhury asked the cattle traders not to cross the border. He said this while speaking as the chief guest at an opinion exchanging meeting arranged by the BGB-9 Battalion at its battalion headquarters here with the cattle traders. Among others, Rajshahi sector commander of BGB Colonel M Matiur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB-9 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel SM Abul Ehsan, commanding officer of BGB-59 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Hasan Morshed and deputy commanding officer of BGB-9 Battalion Major Golam M Sarwar were present in the meeting. The chief guest said the border security force has remained alert to avert any border killing. He asked the cattle traders to abide by the laws of the country so that no untoward incident like border killing can occur ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. He also said banned drugs have been spoiling our new generation and we must stop drug smuggling to uphold spirit of the liberation war.
