National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman said overall revenue earnings have gone up due to the activities of the reconstituted anti-smuggling central taskforce in the country, reports BSS.
"Export-import in legal channels has witnessed a rise as the taskforce has increased its supervision on export-import. As a result, overall revenue earnings have gone up," he said while speaking at the second meeting of the taskforce held at the NBR conference room.
Nojibur Rahman said drug smuggling has witnessed a sharp fall due to the activities of the taskforce. Along with it, national security system has been intensified, he added.
