Fast bowler Al Amin Hossain said that they have taken their preparation keeping in mind that England will tour in Bangladesh in due time to play the series.
“We had beliefs that they will come. Despite the worse situation of the country England had sent their U-19 team in 2016 U-19 World Cup. This time we, the players and coaching staffs, were mentally prepared that they will come. We’ve taken our preparation in that way to play against them,” Al Amin Hossain said.
He thinks that it would not be a challenge for them at home turf if they all could deliver their best together against the stronger side like England.
“We always try to give our best whenever we get chance. Rubel bhai was out of the team for a long time. He believes he will come strongly. Taskin will also come back recovering his problem what he had. Mustafiz will need at least six months to return,” said Al Amin Hossain yesterday.
“For this it’ll be a biggest challenge for us I don’t thing so. If Taskin, Rubel bhai, Mashrafe bhai and I can remain in the squad and perform together in our place. It is true that the difference he has we all have no of it,” Hossain told media at the Lounge of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
‘But we have to give our best for it. If we could give our best then we could be able to delivery our best against England and Afghanistan,” he added.
The pacer said that they will evolve in fighting against different teams with different approach.
“The approach in Test will depend on wickets. Actually the planning will be different for all. It will be one against England it will be different against Afghanistan. It will be understood when they will come here,” he said.
The 25-year-old said that the confirmation of English said has been consolation for them all.
“It’s a news of consolation for the total cricket because we didn’t play even a match for the national team after the end of the World T20. It would be a great loss for us if England would not come here. It has been a consolatory thing for our fans, supporters and even our players so we will play once again at our home ground for the national team.”
When asked to fight against Afghanistan would be a challenge for them, Al Amin said that they have to prove they are better side than them.
“Officially we are yet to know that Afghanistan will come or not. If they come it would be a challenge or the solid ground of the preparation for the England series. They are playing better cricket. On the other hand, we are out of games for a long time. For this we have to prove that we are better,” Jhenidah-born said.
“It’s challenge because each team is almost equal. We played better cricket last one year. But we are out of cricket after World T20. They’re playing well. I believe that they will not pose any threat tot us. The great challenge for us is to beat them in all matches. Then it will boost our confident level ahead of the England series.”
