Woman held with Yaba, heroin

Police arrested an alleged female drug peddler along with 12 packs of heroin and 50 pieces of Yaba tablet from Belgachhi area in the district town on Wednesday. The arrestee was identified as Marjina Begum, 50, wife of Afsar Ali, a resident of Muslim Para of Belgachhi area. Police said acting on secret information a team of detectives conducted a raid on the house of Marjina and arrested her at about 10:30pm. The law enforcers also recovered 50 pieces of Yaba tablet and 12 packs of heroin after searching the house. A case was filed in this connection.
