3rd WARD-UIU HR Summit held at UIU
The 3rd WARD-UIU HR Summit was held at United International University (UIU) in the capital recently, says a press release.
The UIU and World Academy for Research Development (WARD) jointly organised the event with the theme Emerging Trends in Strategic HRM, says a pressrelease.
Dr AKM Saiful Majid, director of IBA, was present at the programme as the chief guest while UIU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman presided over it.
Md Musharrof Hossain, president of Asia Pacific Federation of HRM BSHRM, presented the keynote paper at the summit.
Around 400 HR professionals from different organizations attended the programme to learn and to sharpen their knowledge and skill for their professional development.
Model United Nations conference held at DU
Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) organised first ever intra-university Model UN conference named Dhaka University Diplomatic Conclave 2016, says a press release.
The two-day conference was held at Soil, Water and Environment department of Dhaka University from August 12 to 13.
The conference consisted of three committees of the United Nations namely --United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) with three agendas to discuss.
The conference had four committee sessions and around 150 delegates participated in the discussions.
The closing plenary session was held at the Lecture Hall of the Soil, Water and Environment department where each committees draft resolutions were presented and passed.
A freshers reception along with award giving ceremony for the delegates where four delegates from each committee were given awards for their excellent performance during the conference followed the closing ceremony.
Anti-militancy discussion held at DIU
Bangladesh Police and Daffodil International University (DIU) jointly organised a view exchange programme on Anti-Militancy campaign on Tuesday at DIU Auditorium in the capital, says a press release.
Yousuf Mahabubul Islam, vice-chancellor, Daffodil International University, presided over the programme while Biplab Kumar Sarker, Deputy Commissioner, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Tejgaon Division) was the keynote speaker of the programme.
A large number of students and members of different clubs of the university attended the programme.
