2 held with 2,000 yaba tablets

A team of Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) of Chittagong arrested two men along with 2,000 contraband yaba tablets from city’s Chwakbazar area yesterday.

The drive was led by Aslam Hossain Chowdhury, deputy director of DNC of Chittagong region.
The arrestees were identified as Showkat ul Islam (21) and Shah Alam (20). Between them Showkat is student of 1st semester of English department at Premier University.
“Acting on tip-off  at 4:00 pm we have nabbed them from Zaman hotel at Kapasghola road. Searching their body we have seized the contraband yaba tablets, said Aslam Hossain.
