On August 20, Dai ethnic opera Dao Anren was performed in Beijing. It is one of the programmes staged during the 5th China's National Ethnic Minority Arts Festival. Dao Anren was once a Dai royally appointed hereditary chieftain in Yingjiang, Dehong, Yunnan. However, he led the Tengyue Uprising which is a part of the Revolution of 1911(the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution) which ended the feudal rule of Qing Dydasity (1644-1911).  (Xinhua News Agency)                                                                                                                                    Photo by  Zhang Chenlin
