Salman Shah's 45th birth anniv celebration Sep 29

September 19 will mark the 45th birth anniversary of the late iconic hero of the country’s film industry, Salman Shah. To celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner, Salman Shah Smriti Parishad is going to organise a programme at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) premises in the capital on September 29.

The day-long celebration will feature a discussion, cutting cake, award ceremony, cultural programme and gathering of showbiz artistes at the BFDC’s Jasim Floor and open yard. 
Renowned media personalities including actors-actresses, singers, directors and producers will attend the day-long celebration, while the artistes from big and small screen, as well as music arena will participate in the cultural segment of the event. 
Salman Shah Smriti Parishad president SM Shafi said about the upcoming event, “A committee has been formed comprising renowned media personalities and journalists to make the celebration successful.”
“On the same day, Salman Shah Smriti Parishad will honour the artistes, who performed different roles in Salman Shah-acted films”, he added.
Salman Shah (Shahriar Chowdhury Emon: 19 September, 1971 – 6 September, 1996), who had been and still is a shining star in the sky of the country’s film industry. Making his first appearance on the silver screen with the film titled ‘Keyamat Thekey Keyamat’, he entered into the Bangladesh film industry and changed the typical image of a Bangladeshi actor.
Salman Shah took his life on September 6 in 1996. In his short film career, he acted in as many as 27 films. He had starred in many successful films, including ‘Keyamat Thekey Keyamat’, ‘Antorey Antorey’, ‘Bikkhov’, ‘Denmohor’, ‘Bichar Hobe’, ‘Ei ghor ei Shongshar’, ‘Jibon Shongshar’, ‘Chaowa Theke Paowa’, ‘Anondo Osru’.
