BNP activist killed in Jessore

An activist of BNP was hacked to death by unidentified criminals at Lashkarpur village under Chaugachha upazila early yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Alim, 35, activist of local unit BNP and son of Abdul Wadud of Lashkarpur village, Jahurul Islam, president, Chaugachha upazila unit BNP said.
Moshiur Rahman, officer-in –charge, Chaugachha police station told that unidentified miscreants hacked to death the youth while he was returning home from a fish enclosure at Bergobindapur village udder the upazila after midnight.
He was rushed to Chaugachha upazila health complex by locals where the attending doctor declared him dead.
‘He was killed over previous rivalry,’ the OC added.
