Commemorating the National Mourning Day 2016, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organised a screening of the documentary titled “Chiranjib Bangabandhu” along with a discussion session on August 14 at its campus, says a press release. The life and sacrifices of the Father of the Nation was talked about by barrister Fazle Noor Taposh, MP, who was the chief guest of the occasion. He also said how Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family knew that they must give their blood for this country. They were always ready to give their lives for this country. This is not only a great loss of Bangladesh, this is also loss of the world, he added. A day long book and a photo exhibition on Bangabandhu were also hosted in the campus premises where numerous pictures and a total of 80 titles were on display.
ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman delivered the closing speech. Member of Board of Trustees Kazi Anis Ahmed; Kazi Inam Ahmed; ULAB Provost, Professor Brian Shoesmith; Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor H M Jahirul Haque; Registrar Lt Col Foyzul Islam (Retd); faculty members; admin members and students of ULAB were present in the programme.
