Mobile App, 'Managing Violence Against Women and Children' was launched yesterday at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in the capital.
The special mobile app, a computer programme designed to run on mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet computers, has been made to prevent violence against women and children.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki was the chief guest at the programme with State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak in the chair.
“Two apps “Mayaapa” and “Aponjon” related to building the awareness and all types of health information have already been launched. This app will supplement more value by dialing the number 10921 helpline all types of problem to be ensured,” said State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki.
“Soon the government is to be commenced a project called “Tothya Apa” where designate volunteers will go to the remote areas of Bangladesh and disseminates information and build awareness to the underprivileged women and children,” she added.
