Hospital fined Tk 2 lakh

Rapid Action Battalion ( RAB-1) fined Medipath Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, a private clinic, Tk 2 lakh at Joydebpur Chowrasta in the city yesterday. 

RAB-1 sources said, a team of  the elite force  led by its  deputy assistant director  Mohammed Joynal Abedin raided the diagnostic centre. They found that the hospital authority  has been delivering the pathological report without proper way for a long time. The lab technicians put signature on the report in absence of expert doctors. They also has been preparing  the report  with fake signature of doctors. Later, a mobile court formed led by executive magistrate  Mohammed Firoj Ahmed, fined Tk 2 lakh to the owner of the hospital under consumer rights prevention act 2009, section 52.
