The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will hold a public hearing on the services provided by the Department of Immigration and Passports on August 30 next, reports UNB.
The hearing will be held at LGED auditorium in the capital, said an ACC press release on Wednesday.
Those who experienced sufferings or were forced to give bribes for availing of services from the head office of the Department of Immigration and Passports, its Uttara office and Jatrabari office can come up with their complaints at the hearing.
The victims have been asked to contact Dhaka Integrated District Office of the Commission by August 28 next through phone No - 029358966 - cell phone no - 01816726959 for taking part in the hearing.
Besides, they can communicate with the presidents and general secretaries of the locally formed Corruption Prevention Committees of the ACC.
The ACC has already held a number of public hearings on the services of government agencies. The public hearing is being arranged as part of the commission’s graft prevention activities being carried out following the Anti Corruption Commission Act 2004 and the National Integrity Strategy.

ACC deputy director KM Misbah Uddin of its Patuakhali office arrested former executive engineer (BWDB, Barguna Division) Md Abdul Malek, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
