20 BCL men sued over attacking cops

 SYLHET: A case was filed against 35 men, including leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), in connection with an attack on police in Ambarkhana area of the city on Monday, reports UNB.
Shahin Mia, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station, filed the case against 20 identified BCL men and 15 unidentified men on Monday night. 
Masud Kamal Sufi, former vice-president of central unit BCL was among the accused. Suhel Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said six policemen were injured in an attack by BCL men over controlling traffic as a group of BCL men led by Masud Kamal Sufi tried to enter Ambarkhana area defying police obstruction on the occasion of Urs festival of Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) on Monday night.
Police also arrested ten activists from the spot.
