One held with 6,000 yaba tablets

Detectives arrested an alleged drug dealer and recovered 6,000 pierces of contraband yaba tablets from North Basabo area in the capital on Monday evening. The arrested drug peddler was identified as Mohammad Hasan, 24.
Sources at the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said a special tam of the Detective Branch (DB)  carried out a drive in North Basabo area in the evening and arrested drug dealer Md Hasan along with the yaba consignment worth around Tk 18 lakh, reports UNB.
During preliminary interrogation, Hasan reportedly revealed that he kept the Yaba consignment for selling those in different parts of the capital with the help of several of his associates.
A case was filed with Sabujbagh Police Station in connection with the incident.
