Habiganj: A seven-month-old girl was stabbed to death and her elder sister injured as criminals attacked their house at Jaruliya village in Chunarughat upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Nipa, daughter of Liton, a resident of the village.Nirmolendu Chakrabarty, officer-in-charge of Habiganj Police Station, said a gang of miscreants broke into the house of Liton and stabbed his two daughters around 1.00am which left Nipa dead on the spot and Ripa critically injured. The criminals left the scene after the incident. On information, police recovered the body. “The reason behind murder is not clear, we are investigating the incident,” said the OC.
