2 electrocuted, 11 sustain burn injuries

Nilphamari: Two young men died and 11 others suffered burn injuries from electrocution at Khamakpara village in Kishoreganj upazila of the district on Sunday night, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Sajedur Rahman Babu, 22, and Tariqul, 30, both residents of the village.
Bazlur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Police Station, said 13 people including Babu and Tariqul came in contact with a snapped electric wire of Palli Bidyut Samity while they were working at courtyard at about 8:30pm, leaving Babu and Tariqul dead on the spot and 11 others severely injured.The injured were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
