Bangladesh to get its turn to become next ACC president

Bangladesh will get its turn to select the president of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) after PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan completes his two years term in the post.

Khan took the charge as the ACC president a couple of days ago and his tenure will be ended in 2018.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon could assume the post if he continues his charge in the board. The board president may appoint someone for the ACC post also if he wants.
“PCB chairman has become the president of ACC by rotation. The BCB will get its turn after he completes his tenure,” said BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told the media after attending a ACC meeting.
Pakistan get its chance to assume the post after six years.
ACC was established in 1983 in a bid to improve the cricket in the Asian region. It has now 25 member countries and it eyes to involve more Asian nations in cricket. Bangladesh’s Syed Ashraful Haque was the CEO of ACC for a long time.
