Bangladesh Chhatra Union yesterday demanded the trial of Ferdous Afsana killing and warned that it would continue movement until the trial is not held.
Chhatra Union leader made the announcement at a rally in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
Leaders and activists of the organisations earlier had scuffled with police while they were trying to go in a procession towards the Ministry of Home Affairs to submit a memorandum to the home minister demanding the trial.
Body of Afsana, a student of SAIC Institute of Management & Technology (SIMT), was taken to Mirpur Al-Helal Hospital by two unknown persons on August 13 but her killers are yet to be identified.
Chhatra Union leaders accused Chhatra League leader Habibur Rahman of killing Afsana, also an activists of the organisation, and demanded his punishment.
