Ishita to resume acting after 3 years

Popular actress-director Rumana Rashid Ishita, who is currently absent from the country’s showbiz arena due to family matters, is likely to resume acting this year after three-year break. DhakaLive has news that she is planning to make her comeback to the small screen after three months from now. Ishita took the break as she got involved with two TV reality shows before becoming mother of a daughter on November 1 last year. Besides, she is running a coffee shop named ‘Why Hot’ in the city’s Kamal Ataturk Avenue and also taking lessons on music regularly.
In reply to a question about why she is not in the acting for a long time, Ishita said, “Three years ago, I got busy with two reality shows for Channel i. After that, I got involved in producing tele-dramas. And then, I became mother and now busy with my daughter, Azrin. I hope I will return to acting after three months. Besides, I am giving attention to music. I want to do my new album properly. I seek everyone’s prayer in this regard,” On the other hand, today is the birthday of Ishita. But she has no special plans to celebrate the occasion. She will spend the day with her family members. Ishita said, “I will spend the day in my own style. No special plans have been made centring my birthday; rather, I will spend some quality time with a few of my favourite persons. I want prayers from everyone, so that may Almighty keep us well.” Ishita informed that she will release a new solo album soon. Her first solo album ‘Rat Nijhum’ was released in 2002 under the banner of Soundtek. To note, the last drama serial Ishita she appeared in was ‘Chor Gelo Dakat Elo’ under the direction of Shahiduzzaman Selim.
