Oil tanker workers to get separate wage

BSS

Oil tanker workers will get separate wage as their job is separate from other shipping transport, reports BSS.
"A gazette will soon be published in this regard," said the Ministry of Labour and Employment in a press release yesterday.
This decision was taken in a meeting held in the capital with state minister for labour and employment Mujibul Haq in the chair. Shipping minister Shajahan Khan, state minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid and leaders of Bangladesh Oil Tanker Owners' Association and Shipping Workers Federation attended the meeting. The meeting decided to make effective measures soon for the minimum wage that was fixed at Tk 10,000 for the workers of the oil tankers on April 26.
