"We are also concerned after the July incident. We have to ensure foolproof security in the project area," the minister told the journalists after a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Masato Watanabe at the ministry in the capital.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including Japanese financed projects and security measures.
Masato Watanabe has given assurance that Japan would continue all sorts of support to Bangladesh and the country will not change its aid policy for Bangladesh, Muhith said.
Terming Japan as a big donor of Bangladesh, the minister said the bilateral relations between Japan and Bangladesh are very good and Bangladesh has to ensure more security for the Japanese projects here.
Mentioning the overall security measures of the country as sufficient, the minister said he will meet Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to give the Japanese projects special security.
