Scholarship awarding ceremony at ULAB
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) awarded scholarships to its highest-achieving students of Spring-2015, Fall-2015, Summer-2015 and Spring-2016 semesters on its Dhanmondi campus in the capital recently, says a press release.
Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson, Board of Trustees, East West University and former governor of Bangladesh Bank, was the chief guest in the ceremony. In his speech he praised ULABs contribution to education of the youth. He then challenged the young scholars to take their education and use to benefit those less fortunate in the country.
Dr. Farashuddin distributed the Vice Chancellors Honors List Scholarships and ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman distributed the Deans Honors List Scholarships. These scholarships cover full tuition with a stipend for students of outstanding academic merit and school spirit. A total of 47 awardees received merit scholarship for this semester.
Lecture series on entrepreneurship dev begins
A lecture series titled Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development organised by Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) began on its campus in the capital, says a press release.
In the lecture series countrys renowned 12 successful well known Entrepreneurs will took part in different episode and will deliver their success story. Md Mozibar Rahman, chairman, BRB Cables Industries Ltd, delivered the 3rd lecturer of the series on Journey of a Struggling Entrepreneur at DIU Auditorium on Saturday as a part of its continuous process. Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, delivered the welcome address in the programme. Md Mozibar Rahman at a session answered lot of questions of the students. Later, Md Sabur Khan, handed over a memento to Md Mozibar Rahman, chairman, BRB Cables Industries Ltd.
