CHITTAGONG: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) commissioner Dr Nasir Uddin Ahmed yesterday asserted that all corrupt officials would be brought to book in order to remove corruption from the country, reports BSS.
He said the ACC is working for the welfare of the people and it is acting in all departments in order to check corruption in the country.
"The corrupt officials will not be spared and they must be brought under the jurisdiction of law", he added.
The ACC commissioner said this while addressing an anti-corruption workshop titled "Public hearing and empowerment of people" held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Chittagong.
He said people should be made aware of the bad impacts of corruption and everyone should come forward in this regard.
Addressing the workshop, DC of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin Ahmed said corruption is more prevalent at the lower tiers of administration.
