Chhatra Union reject autopsy report
Afsana Ferdous

Rejecting the autopsy report of Afsana, left student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra Union yesterday demanded a fresh post-mortem to find out the real cause of her death.

The organisation will also submit a memorandum to the home ministry today, demanding arrest of the killers of Afsana Ferdous.
The announcement came out from a press conference held at Madhu’s canteen of Dhaka University yesterday.
Speaking at the press conference Lucky Akhter, president of Chhatra Union, said they will brought out a procession from DU Madhu’s canteen and will march towards the home ministry to submit memo around 12pm today.
She said that post-mortem report of Afsana has been fabricated to save the influential persons involved with the gruesome killing.  ‘We are abdicating such a false and fabricated post-mortem report and demanding further post-mortem to find out real incident’, she said. They will also submit memo to the all district administrators across the country at a time, she added.   Earlier, doctor, who performed the autopsy on the body of Afsana Ferdaus, said they did not found any torture marks on the body.
On the night of August 13, two unidentified youths dumped Afsana, an architecture student from Mirpur’s Saik Institute of Management and Technology, at a local hospital in an unconscious state. Police later received her body and filed an unnatural death case with Kafrul Police Station. Afsana’s family alleged that she was raped and murdered.
