The history would never forgive those security personnel who had shown negligence to their responsibilities of ensuring safety and security of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, reports BSS. “Those security personnel cannot be pardoned by the history who neglected their duties of protecting Bangabandhu,” he said this while speaking at a memorial meeting of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his 41st martyrdom anniversary and the National Mourning Day at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital. Quader said “The bullet that assassinated Bangabandhu is haunting Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina still now as 21 attempts have been made on her life. But all the time she escaped by the grace of the Almighty Allah.” The 21 August grenade attack on Sheikh Hasina, he said, was a continuation of the conspiracies hatched from August 15, 1975. In this regard, the minister urged all pro-liberation forces to come forward to thwart such intrigue unitedly in the greater interest of the country.
The minister alleged that the conspirators are now engaged in patronizing militancy and terrorism after being failed to impede the development activities of the present government through arson attacks and secret killings.
He said the Prime Minister is working hard round the clock to accelerate the pace of advancement of the country.
