Mustafiz to return home Monday
Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman

Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is expected to return Bangladesh tomorrow (Monday), 12 days after the operation on his left shoulder which left him in troublesome position during his stint with English County club Sussex.

He was due to arrive in Bangladesh on last Friday but the surgeon Andrew Wallace who performed his operation, suggested him staying some days more in England as precaution.
“The doctor there gave some tips as part of his rehab. He has been doing those rehabs at the moment,” said BCB media and communication committee chairman Jalal Yunus.
“As far as I am concerned, he will start full-fledged rehabilitation four weeks after the operation.”
The surgery on Mustafizur’s left shoulder — an injury that has been troubling the prodigious fast bowler for the best part of a year — took place on August 10 at the BUPA Cromwell hospital in London with Mustafizur being in the operation theatre for about an hour. The type 2 SLAP tear was successfully repaired during the surgery.
BCB President Nazmul Hassan, MP visited the paceman at the hospital and was present there until the end of the surgery. Prior to the operation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina phoned the celebrated pace bowler and wished his successful operation and early recovery.
A conservative treatment may heal the problem but experts in England suggested he needs to undergo operation for the long term benefit of his career. The BCB also remained reluctant to heal his problem with injection despite knowing that he will miss cricket for six months in case of operation.
Mustafizur felt pain on his shoulder after taking part two matches for Sussex in NatWest T20 blast. It was the old pain that reemerged. He thereafter had two MRI tests which revealed he has been suffering from SLAP (Superior Labrum from Anterior to Posterior tear) on his left-shoulder.
Professor Tony Kocchar of University of Greenwich who initially takes care of Mustafizur then prescribed for an operation after observing all of his reports.
