OIC secretary gen visits IUT in Gazipur

The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) and also Chancellor of Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Iyad Ameen Madani visited the university campus at Boardbazar in Gzipur yesterday. Vice-Chancellor of IUT Munaz Ahmed Noor welcomed Iyad Ameen and his associates on the campus. Later, he joined at a meeting with IUT Vice-Chancellor and  high officials of the university. OIC secretary general expressed his satisfaction over the activities of the university. He assured the university administration of his full support and cooperation in raising the image and stature of  IUT. He also stressed the need for opening up faculties and new programmes. Meanwhile, for the first time, female students are going to be admitted from the member states of the OIC in 2016-17 academic year.
