SYLHET: Police arrested a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) from the campus yesterday for his suspected link to militancy, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified Salman Abedin, a student of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department of the university.
SUST Student Welfare adviser Rashed Talukdar said a team of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of police arrested Salman from the around 10:30am.
Earlier, police arrested three other students of the university for their suspected involvement in militant activities.
Contacted, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station Akhter Hossain said Salman was picked up from the campus on the basis of information given by the students who were arrested earlier.
