Bangladesh Chhatra Union, the student front of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, yesterday demanded arrest of the persons involved in killing of its activist Afsana Ferdous including Tejgaon College unit Bangladesh Chhatra League organising secretary Habibur Rahman Robin, the main suspect.
The union leaders said if the people who contacted the victim’s family over mobile phone to take the body from hospitals are arrested and inquired about the murder the mystery of the killing would be revealed.
The organisation also declared nationwide protest programme for today and would march towards home ministry on August 22 and submit memorandum demanding arrest of the people who killed Afsana. The announcement came at a press conference held on Dhaka University campus spoken by Chhatra Union president Lucky Akter, general secretary SM Zilani and other leaders.
