Even though he was out of the cricket for the last three years, Mohammad Ashraful believed he could cope with the today’s fast-paced cricket.
The youngest Test centurion had recently made him eligible for the cricket after obtaining a certificate of good conduct following his ban from the cricket over match and spot fixing scam in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) second edition.
As ICC allowed him, the BCB also gave him the permission to use the training facilities at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium and National Cricket Academy. Ashraful yesterday started using the facilities to keep him fit though he is yet to know when he could return to the competitive cricket. He was supposed to play Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) that would begin on September 20 but the selectors said he couldn’t fill the criteria to play the BCL as only players, played the NCL could play the BCL.
