Launch services on Paturia to Daulatdia suspended

Launch services on Paturia Daulatdia and Aricha Kazirhat routes have been suspended form yesterday morning due to inclement weather.

Assistant Director (transport) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) at Aricha office Md. Faridul Islam said.
The launch service on the two routes was also suspended for 36 hours from last Tuesday night due to rough weather.
There are 35 launches in the two routes. Four of those are out of order due fitness problems. 25 launches ply on Paturiadaulatdia route and 6 others ply on Aricha-Kazirhat route, the BIWTA sources said.
