The government has appointed Lt Col Forkan Ahmed (Retd) as the chairman of Cox’s Bazar Development Authority for two years, a press statement said yesterday.
After completing his honours from Chittagong University, he joined Bangladesh Army in 1978.
Forkan performed important role in various distinguished posts in several army cantonments. He was appointed as a deputy commandant in President Guard Regiment.
Forkan performed a vital role in UN peace keeping mission at Mozambik and Ivory Coast as a company captain and operational staff officer, the statement added.
