Man gets life term for drug peddling

A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced to life time rigorous imprisonment along with fine Tk 10,000 to a drug peddler in default to pay the amount the court awarded one year more imprisonment. 

The lifer is absconding after securing the bail from the court. Fifth additional district Judge Md Noor-e-Alam handed down the verdict.
The lifer is Jahangir Alam a resident of Fatehpur of Hathazari. 
“On March 5, 2005 a team of Department of Narcotic Control (DNC) raided Jahangir’s house and held him along with 130 bottles phensidyl.
