DU to observe 'Black Day' August 23

The authority of Dhaka University (DU) like  past few years will observe August 23 as "Black Day" in memory of the  "inhuman, sad and condemnable" attack on the university's teachers, students  and officials on August 20-23, 2007, a DU release said in the capital yesterday.
To mark the day, teachers, students, officials and staff of the university will wear black badges and a discussion will be held at the Teachers and  Student Center (TSC) around 11:30 am. 
Vice-Chancellor (VC) AAMS Arefin Siddique will preside over the function.
