Three state-run banks get new MDs

The government yesterday appointed managing directors (MDs) to state-run Sonali, Agrani and Rupali banks.

The Ministry of Finance asked the board of directors of the three banks to appoint new MDs for the next three years. 
Bank and Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued the letters referring to the Bank Company Act 1919. 
Managing Director (MD) of Karmasangsthan Bank Obaed Ullah Al Mamun has been appointed as MD of Sonali Bank, Managing Director of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam as MD of Agrani Bank, and Managing Director of Probashi Kallyan Bank Ataur Rahman has been appointed as the managing director of Rupali Bank.
