The country is to recall today the 11th anniversary of the countrywide simultaneous bomb attacks carried out by Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), which is said to have staged the July 1 terrorist attack at Dhaka's Holey Artisan restaurant, reports BSS.
Two people were killed and few others wounded as the outfit was believed to have carried out the attack only to announce its their emergence staging the explosions in 63 out of 64 administrative districts blasting 449 improvised bombs.
Police said 161 cases were lodged across the country against 660 JMB members and 103 of the cases were disposed so far in which 15 JMB members were handed down death penalty, 118 were given life imprisonment and 116 were sentenced to different terms and 118 were released.
