Woman murdered at launch cabin

A woman was found dead in a staff cabin of Barisal-bound triple decker launch MV Parabat -10 on Monday midnight.
Police recovered the body early yesterday and arrested three including husband of the victim in this connection.
The victim was identified as Lima Akter (22), of Comilla and a resident of Savar.
Police and alleged killer of woman said Md Anisur Rahman, husband of victim hired the two people named Kalam Patoari of Shariatpur and Tushar of Savar for killing his wife against Tk 20,000.
Anis paid Tk. 10,000 as advance and rented a staff cabin paying Tk 1400. All of them went to the launch on Monday evening and at about 2pm Anis left the cabin. By this time other two persons killed Lima, they said.
Other passenger later caught the killers and locked the cabin from the out side and later caught husband of the victim.
Anisur Rahman, husband of the victim said that Lima made affairs with him over mobile phone and got marriage after one day of Eid ul Fitr. Anis is doing job in a shop and Lima was a housemaid.
Kalam Patoari, acknowledging the facts and said the he with the help of his associate Tushar killed Lima after getting money from money.
Md Golam Abdur Rauf, DC south of Barisal Metropolitan police with high official of BMP visited the spot. He said after arrival of the launch at Barisal ghat, police took the control of the launch and arrested the three in connection with the murder.
Police sent the body to the Barisal Sher-e- Bangla Medical College morgue for autopsy. A murder case was filed with Kotwali model thana in this connection, he added.
