Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) on Saturday handed over 10 rickshaw-vans to Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) in a bid to build a neat and clean city.
CCCI president Mahabubul Alam handed over these vans to city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin to accelerate the ‘Door to Door’ collection of garbage. The hand over ceremony was held in front of World Trade Centre at Agrabad in the city on Saturday. Lawmaker Abdul Latif, CCCI vice president Md Nurun Newaz, Sayed Jamal Ahmed, director Kamal Mustafa Chowdhury, Mahafuzul Haque Shah, were also present, among others.
CCC mayor thanked the CCCI leaders for taking such initiative and also sought cooperation from people of all walks of life to build a clean city within next three years.
