A tribunal in the capital yesterday granted bail to three journalists of banglamail24.com, an online news portal, in a case filed for publishing a report over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and her ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Cyber Crimes Tribunal Judge KM Shamsul Alam passed the order when their lawyer adv Priyo Lal Saha filed a petition seeking bail for them.
They three journalists are acting editor of the news portal Shahadat Ullah Khan, executive editor Maksudul Haider Chowdhury and reporter Pantho Polash.
On August 7 last members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested them after the news portal published a report relating to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and her ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Later, a court sent the three journalists to jail when police produced them before the court on Monday.
