RAJSHAHI: A bKash agent, who received bullet injuries along with his another colleague, in an attack by muggers in Kapashia area of the city on Wednesday noon, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam, 40, son of Abul Kashem, a resident of Bou Bazar area of the city. Ifte Khayer Alam, assistant commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), said a gang of muggers attacked two bKash agents-- Rabiul Islam and Mominul Islam Palash, 26, son of Monirul Islam of Khorkhori area of the city-- on Wednesday noon. Rabiul and Palash were going to Charghat area from their office Omor Ali Distribution in Alupotti area of the city by a motorbike with Tk12 lakh.
When they reached Kapashia under Motihar police station, three muggers on a motorbike reached the area and in an attempt to snatch the money shot at Rabiul and Palash, leaving them critically injured and.
