2 killed in Comilla rival attack

Two people were killed in an attack by rivals over a previous enmity at Dhanaitari under sadar Dakkhin upazila in Comilla yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Jamal Hossain, 60, son of Alek Hossain, and Gias Uddin, 45, son of Amir Hossain of the village. Officer-in-charge of Sadar Dakkhin Police Station Nazrul Islam said Jamal had been at loggerheads with neighbour Farid Miah over a walkway. Some followers of Farid Miah, who were sent to jail by a court in a case filed over the dispute, were released from jail on Friday. Soon after their release, they attacked Jamal and Gias around 9 pm.
